Mourad Khediri, born in 1994 in Nyon (Switzerland), grew up and took his first flute lessons in Meyrin (Geneva), with Sara Boesch. After three years of pre-college at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève, he won his first prize at the 2014 edition of the Swiss Youth Music Competition. He began flute studies at the Musikhochschule Luzern in Sarah Rumer’s class the same year and got his Bachelors-degree in 2018. He graduated from the Hochschule Luzern with a Master in Music Pedagogy in 2021. 

 

Since the beginning of his flute studies, Mourad Khediri has participated in several international masterclasses with Silvia Careddu, Barthold Kuijken, Emily Beynon, Magali Mosniers, Karlheinz Schütz. He also took baroque flute lessons with Véronique Jamain in Geneva and Liane Ehlich in Lucerne.

 

In September 2016, Mourad Khediri had the opportunity to perform, in chamber music formation and as part of the "40 minutes" of the Lucerne Festival, the "Three Romances" op. 22 by Clara Schumann. Further he appears regularly as a soloist and chamber musician and plays in various orchestras and opera productions as flutist and piccolo player.
